Anxiety is a condition of inappropriate nervousness or fear.  While fear is an appropriate and rational response to a real danger, anxiety usually lacks a clear or realistic cause.  Symptoms of acute anxiety can include shortness of breath; heart palpitations; tingling sensations in the face, hands, and feet; tensing of the muscles; a claustrophobic sensation; hot flashes; and depression.

Some level of anxiety is normal and possibly even healthy because it helps the body stay alert to danger.  But high levels of anxiety for long periods of time are not only unpleasant but can lead to significant health problems, such as chronic fatigue, diabetes, high blood pressure, and increased susceptibility to infection.

Arsenicum Album 30X – Anxiety, exhaustion and restlessness with nightly aggravation.  Fear, fright, and worry.  Fear of death and disease.  Fear of starvation or financial loss.  Fear of being left alone.

Calcarea Carbonica 30X – An overwhelmed mental and physical state due to overwork and worry.  Anxiety with palpitations.  Worries about all their responsibilities and duties.  Fear of misfortune, contagious diseases.

Ignatia Amara 30X – Ailments from grief, fright or emotional shocks, disappointments.  Oversensitive and nervous.  Effects of grief and worry.  Alert, nervous, apprehensive, rigid, trembling patients who suffer acutely in mind or body.

Kali Carbonicum 30X – Full of fear and imaginations.  Anxiety with fear when alone.  Anxiety felt in stomach.  Despondent.  Weeps much.  Very irritable.

Lachesis Mutus 30X – Sad in the morning, no desire to mix with the world.  Great physical and mental tension.  Nervous, excitable.  Restless, uneasy, does not want to attend to business.

Natrum Muriaticum 30X – Anxiety and fear.  Irritable.  Company distresses.  Claustrophobia.  Fear of being rejected or hurt emotionally.

Phosphorus 30X – Anxious, restlessness, patient cannot sit or stand still for a moment.  Over sensitive to external impressions.  Brain feels tired.  Restless, fidgety.  Anxious, fears being alone at twilight.

Pulsatilla 30X – Mild, timid, emotional and tearful.  Changeable moods.  Weeps easily.  Fear of abandonment.  Fears to be alone of dark of ghosts in the evening.  Changeable nature.
